LOCALIZED CUTTING IN CONCRETE WITH CAREFUL BLASTING. FULL-SCALE EXPERIMENT IN AN OLD CONCRETE BUILDING
Conversion (rehabilitation) operations in buildings constructed of concrete will increase markedly and so, consequently, will the need of methods adapted to this type of technology. Full-scale experiments, carried out by CBI, in an old concrete building were intended to extend and improve the methods available for ordinary slabs and walls. These field tests indicate that blasting is technically and economically feasible. The method also offers an acceptable working environment. (Author)
