ADDITIONAL PRESSURE LOSSES IN PULSATING GAS-LIQUID STREAM
Two-phase flow of gas-liquid mixtures in pipes is often accompanied by pulsation of liquid flow which exhibits a complex character and follows mathematical harmonic functions. Pulsation-free two-phase flow in pipelines is described by a well known equation. After modification of this equation for two-phase pulsating flow, calculations were made which show that pulsation adds more than 15% to the pressure drop in the case involved.
