THE USE OF MICRO-PROCESSOR CONTROLS FOR DURABILITY TESTING
This article discusses the development of a microprocessor-based control system for the durability testing of turbochargers for diesel engines. This new control system enables identification of the failure cause during test operations. Future plans for the system include the concept of multi-user multi-tasking software for each processor, being able to edit one test program while running a test with the same processor, and the use of other high level languages.
