SUSPENDED UNDERWATER PIPELINE
In connection with a project for a monobuoy to offload tankers at Villagracia de Arosa, possibly to supply an existing refinery at La Coruna by pipeline, an underwater pipeline would be suspended at 50 m below the surface, using buoyancy floats capable of supporting one to five tons per meter length. The anchors will be 20 ton blocks of concrete on the seabed, connected to the 30 in. pipeline by stainless steel chains which can be replaced from the surface when necessary.
