STATIC MODEL TESTS OF SUSPENSION BRIDGE UNDER CONSTRUCTION
This paper presents the results of the static test with a large three dimensional model, which simulates a suspension bridge with 3-span continuous truss stiffened girder having no hanger in the side spans. The purpose of this test is to observe the static characteristics of the bridge model, and confirm the validity of the erection method and effect of wind bracing method, which is presented here. The accuracy of the analytical method is also certified. (Author/TRRL)
