CALIFORNIANS WELCOME BACK THE TROLLEY
Despite a political shift away from public transport support earlier this year, California remains the focal point of rising US interest in light rail. The speed and economy with which the San Diego Trolley was built has led to firm proposals for lines serving four other communities, while San Francisco's long established light rail network continues to develop. Railway rights-of-way figure prominently in plans for new lines.
