MULTI-VESSEL-TANK (MVT) FUER DEN SCHIFFSTRANSPORT VON VERFLUESSIGTEN GASEN

Messrs. Linde AG have developed the new Multi Vessel Tank System, called MVT. It consists of a large number of cylindrical vessels which are calculated, manufactured and tested according to well-known methods. This system is a specially safe one, as in case of damages to the ship only the contents of the directly damaged cylinders can leak out. Further advantages of this MVT system are the following: Simple ship hull, choice of any size of ships possible, good utilization of the loading space, mounting of the insulation to the warm walls of the ship, possibility to mount the cold part outside of the dockyard by means of light lifting equipment.
