BUS PRIORITY--ORIEL ROAD, WEST HEIDELBERG ROUTE--EVALUATION SURVEY RESULTS
This report is an evaluation of the effectiveness of modifications to a trial of active bus priority of traffic signals installed at the intersection of Bell Street and Oriel Road, Heidelberg Vic. The factors considered were average delay, variability of delay, and energy consumption. The report concludes that in comparison with a previous priority system, buses appeared to be receiving less benefits. However, the modified system had less impact on the overall traffic system, particularly in terms of fuel consumption.
