TRANSIT LABOR EXPENSE COMPONENTS

This quarterly report presents in a comparative form the percentage and dollar components of basic transit industry labor-related expense for transit systems with fiscal years generally ending in a specified 3-month period. There are two types of data--System Total Data and Multi-Mode System Component Mode Data. On facing pages there are reports of System Total Data for each of four transit systems--the first with total labor and salaries for the entire operation and the second with data on vehicle operators and then on total fringe benefits. For the Multi-Mode System Component Mode Data, each such system so reporting has its operator expenses broken down by mode (bus, demand response, light rail, etc.). Explanatory material includes cautions about the comparison of data between different systems.
