WIND RESISTANCE OF MERCHANT SHIPS
Describes and gives the results of an analysis of wind resistance experiments carried out at several different test establishments on models covering a wide range of merchant ships. Equations are given for estimating the components of wind force and the wind-induced yawing moment on any merchant ship form for a wind from any direction. The equations are shown to apply to independent data.
