AN INTERACTIVE COMPUTER SYSTEM FOR TRAFFIC ACCIDENT ANALYSIS
Traffic accidents are a serious consequence of the road traffic system and should be carefully monitored. This creates a need for a computer system which provides continuing information on traffic accidents within a particular area (e.g. a county, a metropolitan area, a city or a town). This paper describes the design and the use of an interactive computer system for analysis of traffic accident data, called TRAFO, developed by Nordisk Planeringskonsult AB, Goteborg, Sweden, in cooperation with the Scaft Traffic Safety Group at Chalmers University of Technology.
