THE DESIGN OF RETAINING WALLS FOR SEISMIC CONDITIONS: THE PROBLEM OF EQUILIBRIUM LIMIT
SUL CALCOLO DEI MURI DI SOSTEGNO IN FASE SISMICA: IL PROBLEMA DELL'EQUILIBRIO AL RIBALTAMENTO
This article describes a calculation procedure for determining the weight of a gravity retaining wall, designed to satisfy limit equilibrium conditions. A comparison is made with other methods of evaluating seismic effects on soil thrust and the stability of the structure. (TRRL)
