ANALYTICAL MODEL OF BUS PREEMPTION SIGNAL SYSTEM: A MACROSCOPIC APPROACH
This article introduces a methodology by which traffic engineers and transit planners can justify bus preemption systems at urban intersections. Macroscopic traffic models as alternatives to computer simulation techniques are presented and discussed.
