Improvement of the reliability of vehicles with the use of engine preheaters in the Arctic
The paper addresses equipment operation during wintertime in the Arctic, presents the schematic layout of the engine preheater, and describes its principle of operation and specifications. It also describes the experience in using Eberspächer solutions in Caterpillar equipment and provides justification of the economic effect from the engine preheater before and after installation.
