Methodological aspects of avionics reliability at low temperatures during aircraft operation in the Far North and the Arctic
The authors goal was to study the methodological aspects of avionics reliability at low temperatures during aircraft operation in the Far North and the Arctic. In the course of the study, the authors systematized data on the actual failures of avionics in modern aircraft with onboard digital complexes when operated at extremely low temperatures. It is shown that low-temperature avionics failures are mainly critical by nature, which requires radical measures for their elimination. It is also noted that, besides critical failures, latent avionics defects, as well as poorly studied failures and failures of undetermined origin, occur.
