THE INSTALLATION OF BEARINGS. PREFABRICATED CONCRETE BRIDGES

The accurate installation of bearings is very important. Especially when prefabricated prestressed concrete elements are used the methods used up to now involve a lot of work and are very expensive. Therefore often simpler methods have been used which do not always ensure good results. In the article a new method is presented for the accurate installation of bearings. The method can be used both for horizontal and sloping elements. It is very simple to use and is suitable both for large and small elements. (TRRL)
