STANDARD PREFABRICATED CULVERTS AND BRIDGES IN NORWAY
The article gives details of the prefabricated concrete culverts and bridges which have been standardized in Norway. These include three types of culverts from very small ones up to larger ones suitable for the crossing of minor road under main roads. The standard bridges are two types without cast in situ concrete and three types with cast in situ bridge decks. The later ones can also be used for multispan structures. Lastly two types of pedestrian bridges are described. Reference is given to the work carried out by the Bridge Committee of the Norwegian Concrete Society and to the Bridge Manual published by the Norwegian Road Authority, Bridge Division. In this manual details of all the standard culverts and bridges are given together with all the necessary information for the design and erection of such structures. (TRRL)
