INERT GAS GENERATING BARGE
A brief description of an inert-gas producing barge, to be used in purging the tanks of LNG ships when they are brought in for periodic repair, is given. The principal inert gas producing equipment fitted on board the barge is basically a "Turbo-Inert" system, whose components include a gas turbine, components are briefly described, and the capabilities and limits of the plant are also discussed.
