BASIC CRYSTALLINE ROCKS IN ROAD CONSTRUCTION.
Basic crystalline rocks are the most abundantly available and commonly used road aggregate material in South Africa, being used mainly in bituminous surfacings, roadbases, concrete pavements, subbases and gravel wearing courses. This digest includes some brief comments on the influence of climatic conditions on the road performance of basic crystalline rocks. (TRRL)
