OPERATIONAL CONTROL IN URBAN PUBLIC TRANSPORT
OPERATIONELE BEHEERSING IN HET STEDELIJK COLLECTIEF OPENBAAR VERVOER
A description is given of the "tricopt" system that is "triptime control and optimization in public transport". This is the basis of a systematic approach for the introduction and execution of very different timetables. The starting point is the actual situation with existing points of operation. The aim is to produce a public transport system with as good a regularity as possible. Experiences in Rotterdam have shown a favourable effect. For the covering abstract see IRRD abstract no 263333.
