ADDITIONAL RESULTS OF SYSTEMATIC TEST SERIES WITH DUCTED PROPELLERS

Representation of propeller thrust capability increase for better maneuverability and propulsion of tugs or pushers is made as a result of various investigations with nozzles and ducts around propellers. It was found that nozzles offer clear gain in efficiency of propulsion, while their application in reversing is not recommended. Numerous results of test on models are reported and discussed.
