HOPPER DREDGES USE ELECTRONIC DEVICES
The measuring system described consists of the interrogator unit, which is carried on board the vessel and the two responder units which are placed on point of known horizontal position. The system provides for the simultaneous measurement of two distances between the interrogator and responders. From these measurements the position of the dredge is determined.
