THE CHALLENGE OF MOTORCYCLING. A GUIDE FOR THE NEW STREET RIDER
A detailed guide is offered for the new motorcycle rider who is unable to take a formal Motorcycle Rider Course. Recommendations are given about insurance, state requirements, and safety skills. Subjects covered include location and use of instruments and controls, pre-ride inspection and use of protective gear; practice riding; basic motorcycle skills; riding on the street; improving riding skills; including special braking skills and coping with difficult riding situations; problems with alcohol, drugs, or fatigue; proper loading; and diagnosis of malfunction. Each chapter is followed by a self test.
