SOURCES OF FINANCE FOR MAINTENANCE OF ROADS IN ETHIOPIA
The purpose of this paper is to describe the actual method of financing road maintenance programmes and the framework for funding based on road user charge and other sources. The report analyses the identification of maintenance needs, the sources of funds (road user taxation, budget appropriations, local funds, international assistance), and budget allocations. Possible future improvements regarding management and funding are suggested. This paper is also published separately in French. For the covering abstract of the conference see TRIS 372489. (TRRL)
