CATHODIC PROTECTION OF SHIP HULLS AND RELATED PARTS

This report is a summary of current information and practices in the cathodic protection of hulls. Included in the article are descriptions of cathodic protection systems, with sources of the protective current, the influence of hull coating systems on cathodic protection systems, design requirements for cathodic protection systems, and factors which influence the current requirements are also described in the article.
