STRIPPING TECHNIQUES FOR SPECIALIZED WIRE PROBLEMS
The techniques and tools discussed here are applicable to three specific situations: 1) stripping single or multiple wires, stranded or solid, with conventional extruded insulations.; 2) stripping special hard-to-cut insulation; 3) stripping the braid from shielded or coaxial cables. Two considerations are important when choosing a stripping technique. The insulation must be stripped cleanly and completely from the wire to ensure a good electrical connection. And the stripping operation must not damage or nick the conductors.
