TRANSIT FACT BOOK--1981
As the recognized source for statistics and information about urban public transportation in the U.S., APTA obtains data from member transit systems (publicly and privately owned) and uses the figures to estimate trends for the entire industry. In this annual publication are tables indicating operating and financial data for all U.S. transit systems operating motor buses, rapid transit cars, light rail cars, trolley coaches, cable cars and inclined planes. Data for commuter railroads and intercity bus commuter services are reported in separate tables. Paratransit, taxicab, jitney, sightseeing bus, ferry boat and people mover data are not included in these statistics.
