DURBAN BUS DRIVER TRAINING BY MEANS OF TELEVISION

The report describes the Iconotrain television system of bus driver training which is used by Durban Transport Management Board. It outlines the training process, the television modules which are used, the viewing schedule and has, as an appendix, an extract from the training programme which indicates the training sequence, the subjects of each lesson and their duration. The report includes the general consideration related to this type of training and the benefits which have accrued. It also indicates the areas where attention to detail may be of value.(a) (TRRL)
