A SINGLE BUOY MOORING FOR A TANKER

A single buoy mooring for a tanker has a part rotatable around a vertical axis and provided with a device for mooring a ship, a fluid supply or discharge conduit connected to the buoy, a second fluid conduit secured to the rotatable part, a coupling connecting the first and second fluid conduits and allowing rotation of the second conduit around a vertical axis of the buoy which may be aligned with the first axis, and a flexible fluid conduit floating in the water and having one of its ends connected to an elbow piece which is connected to a pipe swivel which is in turn connected to the second fluid conduit. The pipe swivel allows rotation of the elbow piece around another vertical axis not aligned to the first or second axes of the buoy. The elbow piece adjacent to the floating conduit is inclined toward the water surface and that end of the fluid conduit floats below the water surface while the remaining part floats at the water surface.
