COMMUNICATING ROAD SAFETY THROUGH MASS MEDIA
The road safety campaign through mass media, launched by the Loss Prevention Association of India (LPA), has been discussed. It has been believed that in spite of all shortcomings by way of infrastructure and facilities, the education and training, and persuading or motivating of people could achieve some improvement. LPA communication strategy has been primarily directed to urban pedestrians and car drivers, considering that road accidents are concentrated in urban areas. The covering abstract for the proceedings is TRIS 368005. (TRRL)
