SUBJECTIVE EVALUATION PROCESS AND SPATIAL CHOICE BEHAVIOUR: FORMULATION AND TESTING OF SOME MATHEMATICAL DECISION RULES

SUBJECTIEVE EVALUATIEPROCESSEN EN RUIMTELIJK KEUZEGEDRAG: FORMULERING EN EMPIRISCHE TOETSING VAN ENKELE MATHEMATISCHE BESLISSINGSREGELS

This paper is concerned with a behavioural model of spatial consumer behaviour. At the outset, the structure of the model is described. Next, three alternative decision rules, which form part of a more general model, are formulated. The second part of the paper is concerned with the testing of these rules in Eindhoven-Noord. The results of the analyses suggest that all decision rules are quite appropriate in accounting for the variance in consumer spatial choice patterns.
