DEVELOPMENTS TO TELEBUS
This resource paper was presented in Part 3 of the workshop. It provides a description of changes made to the Telebus operation, a many-to-two demand-responsive bus operation in the outer eastern Melbourne suburbs of Mooroolbark and Lilydale. The operation was introduced with the aim of providing cost-effective public transport in a difficult area. The changes have been made in an endeavour to maintain the attractive aspects of the service, while reducing costs, by closely aligning the service provided with that required by the users. Telebus is operated by Invicta Bus Services for the Victorian Ministry of Transport (a). The number of the covering abstract of the workshop is IRRD no 255122. (TRRL)
