A HOSE FOR LOADING AND DISCHARGING OIL OFFSHORE

A hose for loading and discharging oil offshore is flexible at one end, rigid at the other, and has reinforcing plies along its length. The number of plies is reduced at spaced intervals from the rigid end to the flexible end. Preferably, the rigid end is coupled to the buoy, and the flexible one, to a tanker.
