SULFUR IS TRANSPORTED THROUGH A PIPELINE WITHOUT CORROSION OR PLUGGING OF THE LINE

Sulfur is transported through a pipeline without corrosion or plugging of the line by injecting molten sulfur into a liquid hydrocarbon, mixing the resulting slurry with 0.1-10% of an aqueous solution containing 0.01% of sodium chromate, injecting the mixture into a pipeline, and transporting the slurry. Preferably, an aromatic-rich kerosine is used.
