THE LOCATIONS OF TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS AND OF THE INSTITUTIONS WHICH CARE FOR THE INJURED

ANALIZA USKLADJENOSTI PROSTORNOG RAZMJESATAKA SAOBRACAJNIH NEZGODA I USTANOVA ZA ZBRINJAVANJE POVREDJENIH

In the paper the critical driving time periods of 15 minutes, 45 minutes and over an hour to hospital has been determined according to the severity of injuries. Two broader areas of the narrow Serbia which are not included in the gravitational zone of medical institutions have been established by the application of a digital model. Arrangement of medical institutions for treatment of the injured of the second group has been satisfactory. Because of the practical impossibility for caring for the injured in the first area, reference is made to the use of expert first aid, ambulance for urgent surgery and helicopter for the transportation of the injured.
