EXTENSION OF LINE B OF THE RER FROM CHATELET LES-HALLES TO GARE DU NORD

Construction by RATP of this extension is very representative of the difficulty of a large-scale subway project in an urban area. General problems include geologic and hydrologic conditions and the urban environment. Actual construction includes preliminay work and methods of subsurface working.
