The iron bearing synchronous long stator motor as a drive for track bounded high speed traffic modes needs an efficient control and regulation device. It is locted beside the inverter in the test center. The essential components of the drive control and regulation for the application-oriented magnetic levitation vehicle (Maglev) TR 06 of the TRANSRAPID test installation Emsland (West German) are described.
