DESIGN AND PERFORMANCE OF RESILIENT RAIL FASTENING--TYPE OF DOUBLE ELASTIC PAD AND TIE-PLATE
To reduce the sound and vibration from track structures, a rail fastening device with a softer coefficient was designed and tested as the Shinkansen test facility. This report outlines the various tests conducted which showed that it is possible to reduce the vertical spring coefficien of the fastening device to 200MN/m and produce a substantial reduction of sound and especially of vibration.
