THE "CROSSABILITY" OF ROADS TO PEDESTRIANS
OVERSTEEKBAARHEID VAN WEGEN VOOR VOETGANGERS
A study of existing literature on the "crossability" of roads led to a number of factors which may affect the barrier effect of roads to pedestrians trying to cross. These factors were tested on significance partly by computer simulation, partly by street surveys. Where significance was found an attempt has been made to specify the effects and to find a suitable mathematical model. (Author/TRRL)
