This paper discusses exhaust gas pollution and noise pollution caused by motor vehicles in conjunction with the legal control of motor vehicles through the enforcement of the regulations concerning their construction and equipment. Then it examines energy-saving measures concerning motor vehicles in the light of the legal regulations.
