AUTOMOBILE INVENTIONS THAT "DIDN'T QUITE MAKE IT"
This tongue-in-cheek article describes several impractical inventions for automobiles which have been developed over the years, including methods for tipping a car on end to reduce parking space requirements, an in-vehicle keyboard organ, an auto that would safely roll end-for end, an in-vehicle cooking stove, and a pedestrian protector for vehicle-person accidents. It also notes some inventions that were originally rejected but later adopted for use in the automotive industry.
