BUCKLE-UP BABES
In September 1980 at Grissom AFB, Indiana the "Buckle-Up Babes" program was initiated. It is designed not only to tell parents about the life-saving benefits of seatbelts and child seats, but also to provide the equipment. This article describes how the system works and points out the "safety habit" they are creating among children. The program also serves to motivate parents and older children to use their seatbelts more frequently.
