AT THE CROSSROADS
National Safety Council figures for 1977 to 1979 show that nearly 40 percent of all traffic accidents, both urban and rural, happened at intersections, perhaps because they are confusing to a lot of drivers, or because too many drivers take chances with cross traffic. Some basics of driving at intersections, along with some pictorial examples of right-of-way and turning situations, are presented in this brief article.
