Music Media Preference: The Effect of Digital Coding and Broadcast Processing on the Perception of Quality
The recent introduction of a new service, Satellite Radio, is the result of the integration of numerous technologies including digital audio production and storage, audio processing, digital audio compression, simultaneous satellite and earth-based broadcast, and high frequency broadband digital reception. The impact of some of these technologies as well as the impact of source dependant vehicle specific considerations on the objective and subjective quantification of audio quality is examined.
