PUBLIC TRANSPORT MANUAL
A manual for use by those professionally or politically involved in public road transport has been published by the Confederation of British Road Passenger Transport. Entitled "Urban planning and design for road public transport" the book contains introductory and background chapters outlining the basic problems of planning and running an urban transport system, and also more detailed chapters on: Highway design and traffic management; town-centre design; criteria for bus routes; and bus stations.
