SOCIAL ISSUES IN TRANSPORTATION

Social impacts of transportation at the national level, social controls and limitations on mobility, and transportation strategies for equality of opportunity are discussed. These include techniques for local social impact analysis, institutional arrangements affecting social impact analysis, social issues in long-range transportation planning, and integration of transportation and social planning.
