A SUBSTANCE IS TRANSPORTED BY A CARRIER LIQUID IN A PIPELINE
A substance is transported by a carrier liquid in a pipeline in the form of discrete articles, e.g., as moldings or in containers, each having a cylindrical exterior with a device such as a collar or spaced ridges extending circumferentially around at least part of the leading half of the article to space the leading half from the wall of the pipeline. The collar tilts the leading end up to reduce the pressure gradient along the article.
