RESULTS FROM MEASUREMENTS BEFORE AND AFTER THE SWEDISH ROAD SAFETY OFFICE TRAFFIC SOBERNESS CAMPAIGN 1979

RESULTAT FRAAN FOER- OCH EFTERMAETNING I SAMBAND MED TSV:S TRAFIK-NYKTERHETSKAMPANJ 1979

The aim of this study was to investigate if any differences in attitudes have occurred after a traffic soberness campaign. A before and after study was carried out. Persons, both men and women, between 18-24 years were interviewed. When comparing the results from interviews before and after the campaign, it is shown that the campaign has had a positive effect regarding all of the aims of the campaign, i.e. to create increased knowledge of the risks of drunken driving, that the driving aptitude gets worse even after low consumption of alcohol and the effects of hangover.
