ROAD SAFETY EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN AND TEENAGERS
This book presents the recommendations adopted by the Conference, the General Report of the Conference and six basic reports: Report on statistics of road accidents involving children and teenagers and on the situation regarding road safety education for children and teenagers; Road safety education--the developments, implementation and evaluation of road safety education programmes for children; Road safety education--teaching methods and materials used for introducing teenagers into motor traffic; Motivation and training for teachers; Road safety on the way to and from school; and Report on the importance of institutions, organizations and other groups outside the school system in relation to road safety education. Appendices include contributions of the intergovernmental organizations represented at the joint conference: Review of some OECD research relevant to road safety for children and teenagers; and Education in traffic safety (World Health Organization).
