Analyses of Bus Operation Performance and Bus Trajectory Based on GPS Data: A Case Study in Xi’an, China
With the development of urbanization processes, more and more traffic problems appear in cities. In response to this phenomenon, and with the purpose enhancing the competitiveness of bus systems, this paper first constructed the bus operation performance evaluation index system based on the parameters extracted from global positioning system (GPS) data which is related to the bus operation. And then, a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model was formulated to evaluate the quality of bus operation. A case study in Xi’an was used to evaluate the operation performance and analyze the time-space diagram of Route Hi-Tech No.1 based on the above method. Results showed that this method can evaluate the bus performance effectively and help the bus operation enterprises to optimize bus operation and bus dispatching.
